 aerdwyn
is one of the famous far-traveling
"foreigners" that came to Csagrada and began
the restoration of RedMist Castle.
Caerdwyn's reasons for rebuilding the castle
are still entirely not yet known, but it is
clear that it was not his decision alone.
Publicly, he has stated that when he and his
band came upon Csagrada, they felt a
connection to the broken kingdom and an
inexplicable calling to see the country
returned to greatness. Many speculate that
privately, Caerdwyn made contributions to
Csagrada to gain prestige for himself and
recognition of the plight of his people, the
lohranars. Whatever drives them, Caerdwyn
and his mysterious companions have funded
the project from the beginning and continue
to pour resources into both the castle and
the nation of Csagrada as a whole.
Recognized for his apparently selfless
efforts, Caerdwyn was given the honorary
title of "castellan" of RedMist and ruled
over the reborn Csagrada from the shadows
until a new queen was appointed. As Caerdwyn
stepped down, Rose Brennos officially
claimed the throne. She retained Caerdwyn as
an advisor and general overseer of security
for Csagradeus Citadel, formerly RedMist
Castle.

"When I saw him, I thought I was
looking at a demon fresh outta
Ves. I had never
seen a lohranar until then; they
were never allowed in my
village. Considering how many
women and children we had, I can
see why. Frightening beasts!” |

Very little is known of Caerdwyn's past, as
he has endeavored to keep it a secret - at
least from the general populace. Queen
Brennos and Captain Haraman likely know
volumes about Caerdwyn and his ties with the
enigmatic Tree Men among other associates.
He does not speak of his homeland or people,
nor does he openly associate with Csagrada’s
lohranar clans. Even when amongst known
friends, Caerdwyn has been seen as
standoffish and aloof, often remaining close
to Iuwen Morgaine, his human wife.
The few times he has met and conversed with
those outside his close circle of allies,
Caerdwyn has been labeled as soft-spoken and
in good spirits. He has risen to the defense
of others in times of need, rescuing guards
from a perilous fall or defeating the
enemies that would threaten the castle. In
combat, his fighting style has been likened
to that of an Asyrjarti Furerkner – enraged,
Caerdwyn becomes a tireless fury of martial
prowess. His blade, Stoirm-alaich, is said
to have magical enchantments that are highly
unusual for a weapon made by the
magic-fearing lohranars.
The aid he has given to the kingdom is
undeniable, and despite his bestial
appearance and tendency to rage, he is
generally regarded as the kind benefactor
that he really is. |
